Essington RUFC 39 – 5 Coventrians RFC (Junior Vase)

Covents took a 5-0 lead in this cup encounter but after Essington scored a try and a penalty to take the lead, the game fell away and we suffered another comprehensive defeat. Unfortunately when you’re down sometimes you get kicked and try scorer Chris Simons was added to our lengthy sick list after apparently suffering a serious knee injury.
